RegCure Is Our Choice As The Best Overall Registry Cleaner For 2007-2008 |
RegSweep Review Does RegSweep Really Work?
RegSweep is a registry repair program that claims to scan and fix your registry problems in two minutes or less. We decided to test out this program to see if it could hold its own against the proven contenders in the registry repair market.
RegSweep Specs RegSweep Review
Publisher
RegSweep does not seem to be published by a reputable software publisher. The only information on a company we could find was "RegSweep.com" which is a concern. We recommend only getting software that is backed by a software company, such as RegCure by ParetoLogic.
Although there is no software company, RegSweep does have a 100% money back guarantee.
Operating System Compatibility
RegSweep operates with all versions of Microsoft Windows, including Windows Vista.
Features
RegSweep has the usual registry cleaner features:
- Startup Manager - helps limit the programs that load on bootup
- Scheduled Scans - allows users to schedule scans to run automatically
- Backup Features - well made feature helps restore the registry in case of removing an important file
Our Test RegSweep Review
Download And Installation
You can only get RegSweep via download. However, it's a small file and should be downloaded quickly. Installation is quick and simple.
Interface
RegSweep has a professinal-looking interface that is very easy to navigate. Users should have no problems using the program even if they are not computer-savvy. The buttons are big and easy to find, and everything is visible.
The Scan
RegSweep has a quick scan that didn't report as many errors as the other registry repair programs we tested. Although there were less errors reported, this does not necessarily mean that RegSweep is a bad program. Often times programs will be a bit overzealous in their results.
Scan results are listed in an easy to use dropdown format. You're able to select entries to either save or remove.
Other Features
RegSweep is fairly simple. It basically scans and removes bad registry files and helps streamline your computer system. It's a good program, however, and we were pretty pleased with its performance. There are no fancy system monitors, but this is not necessary anyway.
Conclusions RegSweep Review
RegSweep is pretty basic, however it does get the job done. It has a great guarantee and support, so if you're not interested in RegCure or Registry Mechanic, we would suggest getting this program.
Although RegSweep is an adequate program, we think that users get a better value with RegCure by ParetoLogic.
